Top Playlists For Weddings | Female DJs NYC

Sharing is caring!

Hey there, future brides and grooms! I’m Nicole Otero, a Latin female DJ with 24 years of experience behind the decks here in NYC. I’ve been DJing weddings, parties, and just about every event you can think of. Which is why I decided to lay out a few of my top playlists for weddings for different genres for you.

Tips from a real DJ

After all this time, this female DJ from NYC has become an expert at reading crowds and knowing exactly what songs will keep your guests on their feet. Whether you’re having a wedding in a chic downtown loft or a rustic celebration upstate, music is one of the most important elements to set the moods for your event.

Mixing It Up

After all this time, this female DJ from NYC has become an expert at reading crowds and knowing exactly what songs will keep your guests on their feet. Whether you’re having a wedding in a chic downtown loft or a rustic celebration upstate, music is one of the most important elements to set the moods for your event.

One thing I’ve learned is that the best wedding playlists are a mix of genres and decades. Weddings are multi-generational events, and you want everyone from your college friends to your abuela to have a blast on the dance floor. To help you out, I’ve put together five go-to playlists for your big day. These are the playlists I pull from all the time, and I’ve tailored them to keep your dance floor packed, no matter who’s dancing.

Current Top 40 Hits

One thing I’ve learned is that the best wedding playlists are a mix of genres and decades. Weddings are multi-generational events, and you want everyone from your college friends to your abuela to have a blast on the dance floor. To help you out, I’ve put together five go-to playlists for your big day. These are the playlists I pull from all the time, and I’ve tailored them to keep your dance floor packed, no matter who’s dancing.

Here are my top 10 picks for current Top 40 hits:

  • “Levitating” by Dua Lipa – This is a must-play. It’s upbeat, fun, and will get everyone on the dance floor.
  • “Hot To Go” by Chappel Roan – This pop star has taken over the charts and everyone seems to go nuts when I play her.
  • “Murder On The Dance Floor”– This track made a comeback and is honestly one of my personal faves.
  • “Espresso” Sabrina Carpenter – This is a pure bubble gum pop vibe but guests seem to love this one.
  • “Best Friend” feat. Doja Cat, Saweetie– This twerk anthem hits every time!

  • “Cuff It, Beyonce – This R&B joint smacks every time.

70's Disco Grooves

Who doesn’t love a good throwback to the ‘70s? Disco is one of those genres that transcends time. It’s fun, funky, and perfect for getting everyone up and grooving. Whether your guests are seasoned dancers or just there for a good time, a disco playlist is guaranteed to get people moving.

Early 2000’s Throwbacks

Here are my top 10 early 2000s throwbacks:
