Spring Weddings
When you think of Spring you think of Easter, Passover, Mothers Day and of course, wedding season! With everything in bloom, NYC weddings are in high demand in the Springtime. That’s why I put together my top 5 Spring wedding ideas for you.
Before I get into things, let’s discuss the weather. It’s completely unpredictable in the Spring. So whatever you do, make sure you have indoor and outdoor options. You could have the most spectacular weather one day and then get a surprise snowstorm out of nowhere. You just never know! Now, let’s get back to the topic of spring wedding ideas.
1. Pastel Color Palette
If pastels are your thing, then Spring is your wedding season! With every blush, teel or baby blue at your fingertips your possibilities are endless. From the brides makeup, down to the flower arrangements you can have the prettiest of subtle colors for your special day. Furthermore, if you decided to go all white for EVERYTHING no one would bat an eye. It’s Spring!
2. Blue Wedding Dress
I know, I know…blue? YES, blue. Just because Gwen Stefani went pink for her wedding dress when she married Gavin Rossdale does not mean that is the only colored wedding dress allowed. How pretty would a pastel blue dress look? Aren’t you supposed to wear something blue for good luck anyway? Have fun on your special day and embrace that spring color palette.
3. Barn Weddings
Spring barn weddings are ideal! Why do you ask? It’s really the perfect time to have a rustic wedding with trees blooming all around and the weather not being too hot yet. Having fun with the flowers that are in season can turn your barn into a dream reception hall. Not to mention, outdoor pictures with trees all around will be fairytale like.
4. Spring Signature Cocktails
Tis the season for fruity drinks! Cosmopolitan anyone? Or how abou a peach snaps. For non alcoholic beverages ginger beers and lemonades are always a treat. You can have fun with flowered garnishes too.
5. Garden Wedding
Spring is the perfect time to have a garden wedding. Whether it’s your own backyard or the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens with everything blooming it’s prime time for pictures! You really can’t have enough flowers around during this season. So add flowers to your table setting and party favors too while you’re at it. No one will judge you. Afterall, it’s Spring!
