Top 5 Brooklyn Wedding Venues
Let’s face it, what makes Brooklyn wedding venues so amazing are the city views. Not to mention that Brooklyn in many respects is considered to be the new Manhattan. With so many tourists attractions around it is no wonder many couples are opting for Brooklyn weddings rather than Manhattan. Read below for our top 5 Brooklyn wedding venues that we have personally DJ’d.
1. 1 Hotel Brooklyn
1 Hotel is one of those Brooklyn wedding venues that has it all. First off, this luxurious boutique hotel is the perfect place for your wedding guests to stay the night. People love that it is surrounded by all that DUMBO has to offer like tourist sites and of course the famous Grimaldi’s Pizza. Surrounded by views of downtown Manhattan and the Hudson River what’s not to love about this wedding venue location.
Now, let’s talk about the wedding venue itself or should I say venue(s). You see, there is the Meadow Rue event space that can fit up to 300 guests and Blue Wood Aster that can fit up to 120 guests. Additionally, transforming the space is easy enough to do which makes designing your wedding that much more fun. Both spaces have a modern clean look and can be designed to your color palette and flowers of choice. Lastly, The Blue Wood Aster has a wrap around terrace overlooking the city which just adds to that NYC feel during your cocktail hour and dinner.
2. 26 Bridge Street
26 Bridge Street is a landmark building that is an open canvas for you to create your perfect wedding. This Brooklyn wedding venue boasts 8,000 feet allowing up to 248 seated guests. With wooden floors and brick walls give some added warmth and charm while designing your perfect wedding aesthetic. In conclusion, there is no real limit to how you can design your wedding space with so much open space. 26 Bridge also provides a great selection of preferred vendors to help you with your catering and lighting needs.
3. The River Cafe
4. The Greenpoint Loft
Greenpoint Loft is a unique wedding venue since once upon a time it was a pre – WWII roping factory. Located on the water in Greenpoint, Brooklyn you are surrounded by the Polish community that Greenpoint is famous for as well as trendy shops and restaurants. There is a 1,100 sq. ft. roof deck perfect for ceremonies or an outdoor cocktail hour. The mezzanine does a great job of bringing another dimension to your endless design possibilities of the space. Having a 180 person capacity The Greenpoint Loft is a great Brooklyn wedding venue option for your dream wedding experience.
5. My Moon
My Moon restaurant is located in the heart of Williamsburg and serves a delicious tapas menu. The surrounding garden makes it ideal for wedding ceremonies. Service and staff are impeccable and the venue can fit up to 250 guests.
We have personally DJ’d a very unique wedding at My Moon where the bride & groom were rockers and their playlist reflected their musical taste. You can check out their playlist below. While the groom is Canadian, the bride is a Greenpoint native making this venue a nostalgic one for her. The after party was moved to the Williamsburg Hotel since there is an awesome bar and live DJ playing hip hop tunes all night there.
